Understand Australian Points System for Success Immigration
Australian Points System
Australia is one of the immigration hotspots highly preferred by most would-be migrants. And shifting to the Island Country is made easier using the famous and widely used Australian points system. It is one of the most popular systems and it scans the applicants on the basis of some parameters. These include age, job experience, educational qualifications, language skills, etc. For a successful Australia immigration process, the candidate needs to collect 60 points based upon the above mentioned factors.
Apart from these labels, there are some more parameters that can affect the total scoring in Australian points system. The wishful migrants targeting immigration can get points on these parameters and enjoy the freedom of living, working, and settling in the Kangaroo Land.
Australian points system
Age--It is one of the major points that help you score some crucial points. Aspirants of young age are more likely to grab points under this section. An applicant who is in the gar group of 25-32 grabs 30 points. This is the highest score that he gets. Below this and above this benchmark, the point score is comparatively low. A person above 44 years of age gets zero point according to Australian points system.
Work Experience– In Australian points system every work year counts. An aspirant with higher professional experience gets more points. If a migrant is nominated under the Australian Skilled Occupation List (SOL), then his 8-10 years of work experience helps him get 20 points, and 15 points are allotted to those who possess 5-8 years of work experience. Minimum 1-3 years of experience help a person obtain 5 points only. In the case of overseas employment, he can score only 15 points in the slot of 8-10 year experience. And, 10 points are given to the applicant with 5-8 years of work experience and lesser than this will help him get 5 points only.
Educational Qualifications–This is another very important parameter on which a migrant is judged upon under the Australian points system. As Down Under always in search of talented and hard-working expats, it assigns higher scores to people with higher education. Australia has world-class universities and this can prove highly useful to the aspirants who have studied in any of these educational institutes. A hopeful migrant with a Doctorate Degree from an Australian educational institution gets 20 points and Bachelor Degree helps him seize 15 points, whereas Diploma holders equivalent to trade qualifications get 5 points only. An aspirant can get 5 additional points for one or more degrees he holds.
Language proficiency–Knowledge of English is a must for a person seeking immigration under the Australian points system. He is judged upon the parameter of his language ability. He needs to clear the IELTS Exam with flying colors. His score on the exam determines his points. He gets 20 points if his IELTS score is 8 and below this score, i.e., 7 he gets 10 points only. An aspirant scoring lesser than score 7 points gets zero points under this section.
