Canada Immigration from India 2014 Quite Promising

Unmatched economic prosperity and high standard of living has made ‘the Maple Leaf Country’, Canada, a hot immigration destination. The country especially enjoys high popularity amongst the immigrants from India, since it boasts of one of the largest Asian communities helping them (the Indian aspirants) feel like home. It is expected the immigration rate to Canada from India in the year 2014 will increase remarkably.

Why Indian Immigrants prefer Canada over any other country?

One, unlike any other developed country annually, Canada attracts a large number of Indians. One of the major reasons is that the ‘Maple Leaf Country’ has one of the most welcoming immigration & visa policies. The Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) gives a warm welcome to these immigrants with the hope that they will help grow the national economy.

Two, the United Nation (UN) has rated Canada as the country with high and quality standard of living. These two qualities have successfully increased the brain drain to the country.

Three, immigrants are entitled to excess benefits like old age pension, pension plan, unemployment insurance, child care benefit, under the NAFTA agreement visa free entry to Mexico and United States market, social welfare allowance, among many other benefits.

Coming back to the key issue at hand, globally, Indian’s are known for their laborious attitude and professionalism. The demand for Indian skilled professionals is high and they are highly respected.

Immigration to Canada is possible through many ways. However the two Canadian programs most widely used are: the Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP), and the Provincial Nomination Program (PNP). It is estimated that in 2014, the most preferred immigration passage for people from India to Canada will be the FSWP. The program offers restriction-free travel in any province or territory, except Quebec with a permanent residency. Under the program, some announcements made recent have increased the scope as the number of occupations has been increased and the cap has been increased to 1000 per occupation.

Another widely preferred route for Canada immigration, as mentioned just a short while ago, is the PNP. Under the program, each province and territory–in coordination with the CIC–runs its own specific sponsorship programs. Respective territories and provinces are free to amend their programs and sponsor individuals as per their particular needs and professional demand. These programs rely on the need in labor market and are not depended on the federal immigration structure.

For people immigrating from a developed country like India it is no more than a bumper prize even while getting Permanent Residency (PR), and at later stage the Canadian citizenship, is no less than a ‘once in a life time’ opportunity. So far, the year 2014 has proved to be a promising year, and it is expected that more skilled professionals and others will live their immigration dreams in the country; perhaps, they love the most–Canada.
