Hi
I am a civil engineer working in Municipality of Shiraz (Iran) and have been working in great projects as assistant project manager. As I started to pursue visa189 I realized that to be introduced as APM is a disadvantage, therefore I requested to be introduced as an engineer in my job letter and modified all my CDRs accordingly.
Yet, receiving contrasting opinions from consultants has made me confused. In Iranian working system the hierarchy of organizations from top to bottom is: Deputy, Director, Unit Manager, Expert.
The word “karshenas” in Farsi language could be translated both into the “Expert” and “Engineer”. A few of the consultants and advocates are suggesting that I translate to “Civil Expert”, but some are telling me that this would end up in getting rejected by Engineers Australi and I should definitely translate my job position to “Civil Engineer”.
Could you please do me a favor and send me your kind opinion on the matter? I am very much in need of your guidance.
Yours Sincerely
Sina Tehrani
