New Delhi Nudges London for Immigration Reorganization

In what may prove to be a rather important development, the in-office Indian Minister of State for Home Affairs, Kiren Rijiju, and Commerce and Industry Minister, Suresh Prabhu–both on trips to the UK–have reportedly urged London to review the nation’s immigration policies involving India, the ones on Student Visas, and the extension of a visa structure started for the Chinese guests to Britain.

The trip reportedly arrives in the backdrop of the official verification that Narendra Modi, the Indian Premier, will join the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) in the UK Capital, London, in April, this year.Free Assessment form

The meetings arrived as both the countries settled to the terms of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on the speedy return of the alleged illegal immigrants from India, from Britain–a matter that the British administration has frequently raised and stated as a hurdle to immigration restructuring on the side of the UK.

The progress on the subject–the MoU likely be inked through Mr. Modi’s trip–will be viewed as a sign of goodwill on the Indian side, and will make their calls for improvement on Britain stronger. Among the major reforms pressed by the Ministers is for the introduction of a two-year visa structure for the business guests. London launched the system for the visitors from China in 2016.

Mr. Prabhu, reportedly, stated that he raised the matters, both around the ease of receiving the visas and the expenses which may prove exorbitant for the services segment. Expenses have been ballooning amid a hardening of the British policy system in this domain.Check Your Eligibility

Reportedly, the Indian Minister of State for Home Affairs spoke about the issues involving the two-year visa, and also students and the dealing with women with Spousal Visas. Talking of the Spousal Visas, these are an increasing subject of worry, given apprehensions that the women—on the Spousal Visas in the UK–would be abandoned in India, if their visas were revoked.
